Reports about a thaw in relations between Pakistani and Indian officials have been buzzing since Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar arrived in Islamabad for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government Summit on Tuesday.
During his departure on Wednesday, Jaishankar expressed his appreciation for the “hospitality and courtesies” extended to him, specifically thanking Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Premier Ishaq Dar, who is also his counterpart. The successful diplomatic event hosted by Pakistan has drawn positive attention from the Indian minister.
