Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a meeting to assess the performance of the IT and telecom sectors, commended the rise in Information Technology (IT) services exports surpassing $3 billion. He urged the formulation of a comprehensive plan to further enhance IT exports.
At the same meeting, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, a newly appointed member of the federal cabinet, was assigned the role of Minister of State for IT.
The Prime Minister emphasized the prompt resolution of challenges encountered by startups, freelancers, and IT companies, particularly those related to banking.
In his address, he stressed the need for concerted efforts to elevate Pakistan’s IT sector to international standards.
