Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon leave 23 dead, and 31 injured

At least 23 people were killed and 31 injured late Tuesday in a series of intense airstrikes that hit several towns across southern and eastern Lebanon, according to official reports.

Lebanon’s state news agency reported that the strikes in the south targeted districts including Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, Marjaayoun, as well as Tyre and Jezzine.

In eastern Lebanon, the districts of Zahle and West Bekaa were also hit by airstrikes.

In the south, the airstrikes struck the area between the towns of Jibchit and Aadchitin in Nabatieh district, affecting nearby towns like Toul, Sir El Gharbiyeh, Braikeh, Qsaybeh, Kfar Jouz, Habbouch, and Deir El Zahrani, where a three-story building was destroyed.

In Bint Jbeil district, the towns of Safad El Battikh, Hanine, Ayta ash Shab, Kafra, At Tiri, and Yater were also targeted, as well as the area between Froun and Ghandouriyeh.

An airstrike on the town of Srebbine resulted in five deaths, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
