Met office forecasts hot, dry weather across most of the country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted primarily dry and hot weather for most regions of the country over the next 24 hours. However, there may be rain, along with wind and thunderstorms, in areas such as Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The current synoptic situation indicates that a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of the country.

In the past 24 hours, rain and thunderstorms were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir, while other areas experienced hot and dry conditions.

On Tuesday, Nawabshah and Chhor recorded the highest temperatures in the country, reaching up to 41 degrees Celsius.
