Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of the PTI, said on Friday that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had backed the 26th Constitutional Amendment as part of his political position, but the PTI was still against it.
Raja told reporters at the Islamabad Judicial Complex that their bail cases were still pending and referred to them as unfounded. “Sword hanging over us” is how he put the legal challenges, but he promised to keep battling. Additionally, he declared his intention to travel to Swabi, where demonstrations would take place in each union council.Raja praised Fazlur Rehman as an experienced politician and said he hoped the leader of the JUI-F will support the populace in their fight against “fascism.”
He reaffirmed PTI’s dedication to democracy and human rights, saying the party would fight back against any assault on the judiciary and would be grateful for any assistance from those who shared their values.
