“It seems like billions of dollars have gone missing at USAID and other agencies, with a lot of it funneled to the fake news media as ‘payoff’ for spinning positive stories about the Democrats,” Trump shared on Truth Social.
“It looks like the left wing ‘Rag,’ which goes by ‘Politico,’ has pulled in $8,000,000.” Did the New York Times get any money? “Who else did???” Trump asked.
His post was made in the midst of a heated discussion on media organizations taking funds from the government. This argument has taken a turn for the worst following Elon Musk’s criticism of specific sites for allegedly accepting payments from federal institutions.
The man Trump appointed to monitor government efficiency, Elon Musk, went on X to criticize federal expenditures and said that several media companies had received funds from Joe Biden’s administration.
