The stay duration for Russian citizens in Azerbaijan has been reduced from 180 days to 90 days, according to a statement by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayhan Hacizade on Sunday.
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov approved the decision to halve the allowed stay for Russian visitors within a one-year period.
Hacizade clarified that the move was based on the principle of reciprocity.
This change follows recent amendments to Russian law, which shortened the permitted stay for citizens of several countries, including Azerbaijan, from 180 days to 90 days.
