USAID and the Lodhran Pilot Project launch ‘Subh-e-Nau’ to empower local communities.

USAID has expressed its support for the launch of the “Subh-e-Nau” project, initiated by the Lodhran Pilot Project in collaboration with consortium partners Signify Consulting, Pelican Development Organization (PDO), the Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG), and the Chanan Development Association (CDA).

The project was unveiled at a local event attended by U.S. Consul General Christine Hawkins, where USAID Mission Director Kate Sowongsiri highlighted the program’s significance in empowering grassroots communities.

During the event, MPA and Parliamentary Secretary for Education Ajmal Chandia emphasized the importance of such initiatives, noting that the diverse themes within the Subh-e-Nau project are designed to address contemporary needs. He pledged support for initiatives that positively impact society.

Dr. Abdul Saboor, CEO of the Lodhran Pilot Project, discussed the project’s objectives, explaining that Subh-e-Nau aims to uplift underprivileged communities and contribute to a stable society. The initiative focuses on enhancing local residents’ capacity to engage in their community’s development.

Zain Baloch, CEO of Signify, remarked that USAID, LPP, and other partners are dedicated to shaping and aligning social development efforts with local aspirations. The event drew a large crowd from social circles in Multan, Bahawalpur, and Lodhran, including religious, social, and political leaders, as well as educators. The gathering also featured a panel discussion and cultural performances.
