Tehran (Monitoring Desk) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has released an open letter addressed to the American people, raising critical questions about the war imposed in the Middle East and the actions of the Trump administration.
In the letter, President Pezeshkian asked whether Washington is truly following a “America First” policy or if it is prepared to fight the war until the last U.S. soldier while representing Israel’s interests. He emphasized that Iran holds no enmity toward the American public and urged Americans to look beyond fabricated narratives to see the reality.
The Iranian president stated that Iran has never pursued aggression or expansionism in modern history and has always defended itself against invaders. He added that portraying Iran as a threat serves the political and economic interests of powerful groups.
Pezeshkian questioned what real benefits this war brings to the American people, whether Iran posed any genuine threat, and if the killing of innocent children or attacks on energy and industrial facilities enhance the U.S.’s credibility. He asserted that the decision to strike Iran was taken by the U.S. government and directly targeted the Iranian people.
The letter also highlighted that Israel exaggerates the Iranian threat to distract from its actions against Palestinians, warning that the world is at a delicate juncture and that pursuing conflict would be futile.
