Beirut (Monitoring Desk) – A senior Hezbollah commander, Youssef Hashim, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, seven people were killed in the attack, and three vehicles were hit by three missiles, causing a massive explosion.
Youssef Ismail Hashim was an experienced commander in Hezbollah and a member of special committees. He was appointed to a key position following an Israeli strike on Ali Karki in 2024.
Lebanese security sources stated that Hashim had also overseen Hezbollah’s military operations in Iraq and was present in a tent for a meeting at the time of the attack. Hezbollah reported that along with Youssef Hashim, another member, Mohammad Baqir Nablusi, was killed in the Jnah area of Beirut. Hashim was among the highest-ranking officials in Hezbollah and had been targeted since the beginning of the ongoing conflict.
