Trump: Canada can keep ‘O Canada’ as the 51st U.S. state.

Trump has stated his intention to admit Canada as the 51st state of the United States.

At Thursday’s Republican Governors Association Meeting luncheon in Washington, DC, Trump stated, “I think Canada, you know, they’re going to have to pay tariffs on automobiles, lumber, oil and gas, etcetera.” He went on to say that Canada imports 95% of its products from the US.

“I think they have to become the 51st state,” said the politician.

Trump then turned his attention to an international hockey game in Montreal, where the Canadian fans had booed the US national anthem before the game, but he believes that “ultimately” they will be singing it again.

“We’ll have to figure something out… because I do enjoy the ‘O Canada’ all right,” he stated, making a reference to the national anthem of Canada.

“It’s just stunning. Keeping it for the 51st state is probably going to be necessary, he said.

President Trump praised Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, calling him a “governor,” and praised his “wonderful job.”
