Tribute event in Dhaka commemorates Quaid-e-Azam’s death anniversary

A ceremony was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to honor Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the anniversary of his death.

Organized by the Nawab Salimullah Academy, the event took place at the Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of the National Press Club. Banners at the venue featured Quaid’s renowned motto, “Unity, Faith, and Discipline.”

Attendees included Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner Kamran Dhengal, as well as scholars, journalists, writers, historians, and local citizens.

Speakers underscored Quaid-e-Azam’s pivotal role in the formation of Pakistan and the Pakistan Movement, noting that without his leadership, both Pakistan and Bangladesh might not have existed. They also stressed the importance of fostering strong ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Deputy High Commissioner Kamran Dhengal commended Quaid’s leadership of the Muslim League and his vision for a progressive and tolerant state, which earned him admiration beyond Pakistan.

The event featured Urdu poetry recitations, presentations by Pakistani students, and an in-depth lecture on Quaid-e-Azam’s life and legacy.
