Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, has denied that his son committed suicide. Singh told reporters in Patna that he hoped for justice and that the truth regarding his son’s death was known to the people of the area. He was speaking before a pivotal session in the Bombay High Court.
An appeal for a more thorough examination of the circumstances behind Sushant’s untimely demise has been lodged with the High Court, which is expected to hear the case soon. Aditya Thackeray, a member of the Shiv Sena and a suspected relation to Sushant and his late manager Disha Salian, is also wanted for questioning and maybe arrested in the case. Initial reports indicated that Sushant’s death in his Bandra apartment in June 2020 was a suicide. On the other hand, his loved ones and allies maintain that the murder was planned in advance.
Pavitra Rishta and Kai Po Che, two of Sushant’s most successful films and television series, catapulted him to stardom in Bollywood. Dil Bechara, his last film, was released after his death. He had a varied oeuvre. The actor had reportedly struggled with depression for six months before his death, despite his successful career.
His father is still holding out hope that the Indian justice system will uncover the truth about what happened to Sushant.
