Renowned filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has announced the selection of 10 women filmmakers for Patakha Pictures’ “Her Earth Advocates” program, focused on climate change. Led by mentor Jesse Ericka Epstein, the fellows will participate in online workshops culminating in an event in Karachi. The filmmakers, paired in duos, offer diverse backgrounds and storytelling styles. The initiative aims to empower Pakistani storytellers, with past programs funding 30 filmmakers and producing 16 films recognized at global festivals.
