Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan recounted a harrowing house invasion that harmed him. Saif and Kareena were home late one night when the event occurred. At 2 AM, a staff worker reported an intruder in their kid Jeh’s room, scaring Kareena Kapoor Khan after a supper out.
After running to the scene, Saif faced an armed intruder with two knives. Unarmed and instinctive, Saif charged the invader. His adrenaline-fueled tenacity kept him going despite knife cuts to his back and arms from the fight. Kareena rescued their children as house staff separated Saif from the intruder, who fled.
With his son Taimur and a housekeeper, Saif went to the hospital despite his injuries. It was weird to arrive at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital covered in blood. After inspection, physicians found that one wound nearly paralyzed him. A six-hour difficult surgery was performed on Saif.
Saif called the situation life-changing but oddly cinematic, noting how his son Taimur tried to stay calm. Saif, though upset, said the attack won’t make him afraid. While believing in forgiveness, he stressed home security. “My empathy for the attacker ends where the knife meets my spine,” he said.
Saif now credits his amazing recovery to expert doctors and his family. He lives by his values, learns lessons, and moves forward without fear.
