The Champions Trophy 2025 features a $6.9 million prize fund, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). This is 53% higher than the 2017 edition.
The winners get $2.24 million and the runners-up $1.12 million. Each losing semifinalist receives $560,000. Every group stage win will earn nearly $34,000, making every game important.
Fifth and sixth place teams get $350,000, while seventh and eighth place teams get $140,000. Additionally, all eight teams receive $125,000 for qualifying.
The fact that Pakistan will host the 2025 Champions Trophy for the first time since 1996 would showcase the country globally. The event features the top eight ODI teams in two four-team groups. The top two teams from each group advance to the semis.
ICC Chair Jay Shah called the event a “pivotal moment for cricket” that mixes tough competition with the chance to invest in the sport’s future. Shah believes the competition elevates global cricket events and motivates future generations.
The Champions Trophy will showcase the best ODI players from around the world, and fans worldwide eagerly await its return.
