The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for anticipated rainfall across various districts in Punjab from March 25 to 27. The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts rain and potential snowfall in mountainous regions, including Murree and Galiyat.
Affected areas may include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan.
PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions and to contact the PDMA helpline at 1129 in case of emergencies.
