Rain and winds bring relief to Punjab’s dry spell

A new weather system has entered Punjab, bringing much-needed rain and strong winds to various districts, ending weeks of dry conditions. The Meteorological Department forecasts rainfall accompanied by winds in regions including Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Sargodha divisions.

In Lahore, while the skies are expected to remain cloudy with intermittent sunshine, no significant rainfall is anticipated. The city’s temperatures are projected to range between a minimum of 19°C and a maximum of 32°C.

Beyond Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are also expected to experience intermittent rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms. Some areas may face isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms. Additionally, light rain is forecasted in upper Punjab, Islamabad, and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next 12 hours.

This weather shift is expected to alleviate the prolonged dry spell, offering relief to residents across the affected regions.
