Punjab unveils ‘Green Pakistan Initiative’ to boost agriculture

Punjab’s Green Pakistan Initiative aims to modernize agriculture and help farmers. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain and Musadik Malik attended the Cholistan launch.

Many programs in this initiative support farmers and modernize agriculture. Farmers will receive cheap, high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and insecticides from A Green Mall and Service Company. Advanced agricultural machinery like drones will be rented at low prices.

A 5,000-acre smart farm uses advanced irrigation and farming systems. This farm promotes sustainability, productivity, and cost reduction. An Agricultural Research and Facility Centre will provide soil testing, laboratory services, and agricultural education and innovation.

At the inauguration, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said these projects will transform Punjabi agriculture and safeguard Pakistan’s economic future. Children of martyrs and injured veterans received land allotment letters.

Army Chief General Asim Munir lauded Punjab’s efforts in agricultural and national prosperity. He called the effort a powerful step forward and underlined the army’s support for Pakistan’s economic growth.

The Green Pakistan Initiative leaps toward agricultural sustainability and wealth, enabling Punjab’s farming industry to thrive.
