Supreme Court Rejects PTI Founder’s Request for Immediate Meeting

Islamabad (Pakistan News): The Supreme Court has rejected the PTI founder’s request for an immediate meeting and took significant actions in the Cypher case and other proceedings.

A two-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, dismissed the request for a meeting, stating that no party can be summoned or directed without notice. The court issued a notice to the government for tomorrow and adjourned the hearing until then.

During the proceedings, the court ordered the formation of a three-member bench to hear appeals against the acquittal of the PTI founder and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the Cypher case.

Similarly, requests for cancellation of bail in the Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases were dismissed as ineffective.

For the May 9 Lahore incidents, the court also constituted a three-member bench to hear bail cancellation petitions against the PTI founder and adjourned these cases for two weeks.
