Second Ring Road Project Under Consideration in Peshawar, Estimated Cost Rs 60 Billion

Peshawar (Pakistan News): The second ring road project for the southern part of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is under consideration, with an estimated cost of Rs 50–60 billion.

A key meeting, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi, was held to discuss the proposed outer ring road project for southern Peshawar, reviewing various aspects of the plan in detail.

According to the briefing, the proposed second ring road will be approximately 31 kilometers long, covering the city’s southern areas. Once completed, the project is expected to reduce traffic congestion and boost commercial activities in the region.

The project is targeted to be completed within three years. Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi directed that suitable interchanges be included to ensure public convenience and emphasized that planning should meet future requirements. He also instructed the National Highway Authority to take steps for establishing an interchange at the Peshawar Bus Terminal.
