Karachi (Pakistan News):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved over Rs 21.53 billion for the rehabilitation of the city’s infrastructure and roads.
The meeting was attended by the Provincial Minister for Local Government, Mayor of Karachi, Chief Secretary, P&D Chairman, and senior officials from the Local Government Department.
The Chief Minister stated that repairing the roads would improve urban mobility and promote economic activities, while public convenience and urban safety remain the government’s top priorities.
During the session, a special grant of Rs 13 billion was also approved, along with financial assistance for all 24 town municipal corporations. The Mayor of Karachi highlighted the need to repair 409 dilapidated roads across the city.
