Islamabad (Pakistan News): The price of electricity has been increased across the country, including Karachi, under the quarterly adjustment mechanism.
To cover an additional burden of over PKR 867 crore on consumers, electricity rates have been raised by 35 paisa per unit. The increase will apply for the period from March to May 2026.
The NEPRA has sent its decision on the electricity price hike to the federal government. Previously, in the quarterly adjustment for July to September 2025, electricity rates were increased by 33 paisa per unit.
