PTI Leaders Approach Sindh High Court Against Police Brutality

Karachi (Pakistan News) — PTI leaders Raja Azhar and Faheem Khan have approached the Sindh High Court seeking action against police officers over alleged torture during custody.

The petition, filed through their lawyer Muneeb Khattak, stated that on February 8, police officials in the Korangi area’s Mehran Town allegedly abducted Raja Azhar and Faheem Khan and subjected them to severe torture while in custody. The lawyer argued that the police actions constitute a criminal offense and that an FIR should be registered.

The petition also mentioned that a lower court had previously rejected their request to register a case based on a police report. The petition names DIG East, SSP Korangi, DSP, and other police officers as respondents.
