Islamabad (Pakistan News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an important meeting today in view of regional and global developments.
Sources indicate that the meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, will take place at the Prime Minister’s House this afternoon to approve the national austerity policy. Chief Ministers from all four provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, have also been invited.
The session will review the country’s overall administrative and economic situation, and the national austerity policy will be approved with consensus between the federal and provincial governments.
Sources added that a joint strategy will also be formulated to provide relief to the public. The meeting will consider measures such as moving school and college classes online and implementing work-from-home policies for offices.
