Pakistan Issues High Alert for Air Traffic Control Following Attacks on Iran

Islamabad (Pakistan News) — The Pakistan Airports Authority has announced that airspace monitoring has been tightened nationwide following Israeli and U.S. attacks on Iran. Air traffic controllers have been instructed to closely monitor all borders, including Iranian and Afghan regions.

Sources report that Pakistani airlines have been directed not to use Iranian airspace. However, Pakistan’s airspace remains fully operational and secure, with all civil aviation flights, including those in Karachi, running normally.

According to Iranian authorities’ NOTAM A0715/26, Tehran airspace will be closed to civil aircraft from 11:30 to 17:00 PKT, limiting east-west transit. If the restriction continues beyond 17:00 PKT, an increase in overflight traffic through Pakistani airspace is expected.

The Pakistan Airports Authority confirmed that all operations are proceeding as usual, with no reports of delays or security issues. Measures are being maintained in coordination with national and international stakeholders to uphold highest aviation safety and security standards.
