Lahore (Pakistan News): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid tribute to Pakistan’s IT prodigy and Presidential Award winner Arfa Karim on her 14th death anniversary.
Maryam Nawaz said that Arfa Karim, who became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine, serves as an inspiration for every girl in Punjab and will always be remembered as one of Pakistan’s most talented daughters. She highlighted that Arfa Karim began her journey with Microsoft certification, a legacy that the province aims to build upon further.
The Chief Minister also noted that the Nawaz Sharif IT City project has been launched to provide more opportunities for Punjab’s youth in the IT sector, enabling every girl to aspire to become like Arfa Karim. She added that international-standard campuses of foreign institutions are being established within the IT City to provide modern IT education and global opportunities for young talent.
