Islamabad (Pakistan News): Former Supreme Court judge Justice (Retd) Mansoor Ali Shah has officially announced the resumption of his legal practice, focusing on international and local arbitration as well as strategic legal consultancy.
Sources indicate that Justice Shah will continue his teaching work, currently serving as a professor at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). According to his LinkedIn profile, he resigned from the Supreme Court on November 13, 2025, citing his commitment to upholding the rule of law and constitutional principles.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah was eligible to become Pakistan’s 45th Chief Justice, but due to the controversial 26th constitutional amendment and subsequent changes in the seniority structure, he was removed from the Supreme Court.
Experts believe that his extensive legal experience and judicial background will make his current practice influential in both international and domestic legal matters.
