Ishaq Dar Holds Meeting to Boost Economic Cooperation with Indonesia

Islamabad (Pakistan News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a delegation-level meeting with Indonesia’s Minister for Investment & Downstream Industry and CEO of the Sovereign Wealth Fund, Rosan Roslani.

The discussion focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between Pakistan and Indonesia, exploring potential joint projects, and identifying areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. The meeting also covered exchange of best practices and collaboration in priority sectors, including health.

During the session, the Ministry of Finance, Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and Board of Investment briefed the Indonesian side on Pakistan’s investment environment, priority sectors, and facilitation mechanisms. Discussions were also held on leveraging Indonesia’s experience in sovereign wealth funds and downstream investments.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized that the longstanding bilateral relations between Pakistan and Indonesia are based on mutual respect and cooperation, and that mutual investment will play a key role in further strengthening the partnership.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Chairman Board of Investment, National Coordinator SIFC, Secretary Finance, Acting Secretary Foreign Affairs, and other senior officials.
