Islamabad (Pakistan News): A Friend of the Court report submitted to the Supreme Court has revealed the conditions of former PTI chairman Imran Khan in jail. According to the report, Imran Khan is satisfied with the food, ventilation, lighting, and cleanliness provided in his cell.
During winter, heaters, blowers, and hot water are available, while in summer coolers are provided. The cell is monitored by approximately 10 cameras, but none are inside the room, as explained, for his protection.
The food menu includes two days of chicken, two days of meat, and two days of lentils or sandwiches per week. Bottled water is provided, and breakfast includes porridge, coffee, and dates. His daily routine comprises morning breakfast, one hour of Quran recitation, and physical exercise. He also has access to 100 books and a 32-inch TV.
Regarding health, the report stated that Imran Khan’s right eye vision is impaired, and there is a risk of blood clots. The court has allowed an examination by an eye specialist, but a family member’s presence during the check-up was denied.
The Chief Justice directed that all medical facilities be provided under state responsibility, and arrangements for meetings and communication should be completed before February 16.
