Islamabad (Pakistan News) — Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif addressed Afghan Taliban Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, emphasizing that while Pakistan had historically supported them against the Soviet Union and hosted their families, current circumstances should not allow enemies to use that hospitality against Pakistan.
Khawaja Asif stated that it is inappropriate to shelter killers or support those involved in the blood of innocent children in return for providing refuge to guests. He highlighted that Pakistan’s traditions, culture, and religion teach that one should seek the well-being of the household that offers shelter.
The Defence Minister stressed that despite past joint objectives, trust and cooperation should continue, and no form of hostility should be allowed to be used against Pakistan.
