Islamabad (Pakistan News): Due to the recent western weather system, heavy rainfall in the plains and continuous snowfall in the higher areas of the country have paralyzed daily life, while the intense cold has further lowered temperatures.
In the upper Dir region, a landslide in Gwaldi trapped several vehicles along with passengers, creating severe difficulties. Reports indicate that government machinery could not provide timely assistance.
In the Sheringal Forest Colony of Upper Dir, a field vehicle slid off the road due to heavy snowfall and fell into a ravine, injuring three people who were immediately transferred to a hospital.
In Peshawar city and surrounding areas, rain that began yesterday evening paused briefly this morning but resumed later, intensifying the cold.
Other plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also experienced intermittent rainfall since last night, while the third spell of winter snowfall continues in higher areas and mountains, causing road blockages and travel difficulties.
