Government Increases Petroleum Levy, Public Unable to Receive Full Price Relief

Islamabad (Pakistan News): The government has increased the petroleum levy, preventing the public from receiving full relief from falling fuel prices.

According to official documents, the levy on petrol has been raised by Rs. 4.65 per liter, increasing the petroleum levy from Rs. 79.62 to Rs. 84.27 per liter. Similarly, the levy on diesel has been increased by Rs. 0.80 per liter, raising it from Rs. 75.41 to Rs. 76.21 per liter.
