Flights Disrupted Across Pakistan Due to Tensions in the Middle East

Lahore (Pakistan News) – Flight operations across the country continued to face severe disruptions on the second day of April due to escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Islamabad Airport was the most affected, followed by Karachi. A total of 64 round-trip flights to various Middle Eastern airports were cancelled from five international airports in Pakistan. The cancellations impacted airlines including PIA, Airblue, Air Arabia, Iran Air, and Qatar Airways.

From Karachi Airport, 18 round-trip flights to Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Mashhad, Sharjah, Medina, Doha, and Dubai were cancelled. Islamabad Airport saw 34 round-trip flights to Fujairah, Sharjah, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Tehran, Dubai, Bahrain, Riyadh, and Doha cancelled. Lahore Airport had two round-trip flights to Dammam cancelled, while Peshawar Airport faced cancellations of eight flights to Dammam, Dubai, Doha, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. From Multan Airport, only two flights to Dubai were cancelled.

Airport sources reported that over the past 33 days, a total of 2,592 flights from Pakistan to the Middle East have been cancelled.
