Islamabad (Pakistan News) – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the headquarters of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and chaired a high-level meeting, directing strict measures against individuals who have illegally obtained Pakistani citizenship.
During the meeting, NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Officer gave a detailed briefing on the agency’s performance and ongoing and upcoming projects. Minister Naqvi praised NADRA’s public services and emphasized the urgent identification and removal of illegal citizens from the national database.
He instructed NADRA to coordinate with law enforcement agencies to assist in the deportation of illegal foreigners. Additionally, he requested a master plan for constructing modern NADRA offices on government-owned land in major cities and stressed the introduction of further advanced services for public convenience.
The briefing highlighted that NADRA has canceled millions of identity cards of deceased individuals and, in collaboration with PTA, is blocking mobile SIMs issued in the names of deceased persons. DG FIA Dr. Usman Anwar and senior NADRA officials were also present at the meeting.
