Islamabad/Rawalpindi (Pakistan News): Strong earthquake tremors were felt across several cities in Pakistan late at night, prompting residents to rush out of their homes.
The tremors were particularly noticeable in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Swat, Shangla, and Bunair. Residents of Neelum Valley and other areas of Azad Kashmir also reported feeling the quake.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 5.8 on the Richter scale with a depth of 159 kilometers. Its epicenter was located near the border region of Tajikistan and Xinjiang.
Initial reports indicate that no casualties or property damage have been reported. Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures and remain alert for possible aftershocks.
