Dense Fog and Severe Cold Grip Peshawar

Peshawar (Pakistan News): Peshawar and its surrounding areas are enveloped in thick clouds as temperatures drop sharply. The Meteorological Department reports that most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will experience cold and dry weather, with even colder conditions expected in the northern districts.

Fog is likely to persist in the province’s plains, including Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Karak, and Bannu. In Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, and various stretches of the GT Road, fog intensity may increase during morning and night hours. Light rain was recorded yesterday in parts of Dir and Bajaur.

The coldest temperature was recorded in Kalam at minus 6°C, while Parachinar and Malam Jabba reported minus 3°C, Dir Bala minus 2°C, and Drosh and Chitral minus 1°C. Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan recorded 6°C.

Meanwhile, according to PIA, flight operations at Bacha Khan International Airport were disrupted due to dense fog. Poor weather and low visibility forced a Qatar Airways flight to be diverted to Islamabad.
