Lahore (Pakistan News) Police have expanded the scope of the investigation into the murder of former excise employee Rana Aftab in the Chohang area. Investigative sources indicate that last year in January, private textile manager Umar was also shot dead by unknown assailants while commuting from his home to the factory.
Sources suggest that there are some similarities between the murders of Rana Aftab and Umar; however, the motives behind the two killings are not necessarily the same. Determination of any connections is ongoing as part of the investigation.
Umar’s murder case was registered in Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur, and police have now begun investigating evidence and potential suspects in relation to Rana Aftab’s killing.
