Asian Stock Markets Fall Following Statement by U.S. President

Karachi (Commerce Desk) – Following the U.S. President’s statement to continue the war, a downward trend was observed in Asian stock markets, including Pakistan. At the start of trading on the fourth day of the business week, the KSE-100 Index fell by over 5,000 points, trading at around 150,000 points.

The previous day, the KSE-100 Index had closed at 155,511 points, marking an increase of 6,768 points.

According to news agencies, Japan’s Nikkei Index saw a decline of about 2.5 percent, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index dropped by over 1 percent, reflecting regional uncertainty. China’s Shanghai Composite Index also experienced a slight decrease, raising concerns over the global investment climate.
