PTI Leaders Meet Imran Khan in Adiala Jail to Finalize Protest Plans
Key Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Shibli Faraz, and Asad Qaisar, held a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Monday night to finalize the strategy for the party’s ongoing “final march.” The 40-minute discussion, which took place around midnight, centered on the political situation and the protest’s next steps.
Barrister Gohar briefed Imran Khan on the government’s proposal to allow PTI to hold its rally and sit-in at an alternative location rather than the iconic D-Chowk in Islamabad. Afterward, Imran Khan recorded a video message for the party leadership and workers, which is expected to contain important decisions about the upcoming protest, with an official announcement anticipated soon.
Following the meeting, Barrister Gohar and Asad Qaisar also met with Bushra Bibi and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur. Earlier in the day, Barrister Gohar reaffirmed PTI’s commitment to the planned protest, stating that there would be “no going back.”
The situation remains tense as PTI leaders continue preparations for the final protest march, despite ongoing government negotiations.
