PM Shehbaz requests outside third-party examination of Ramadan aid package.

According a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed a third-party audit of the Prime Minister Ramadan Relief Package 2025 in order to guarantee openness in fund distribution.

The prime minister oversaw a review conference during which authorities informed him on the development of the rescue effort.

With thorough documentation available for all disbursements, officials told the audience that 63% of qualified clients had already received financial help.

Two,224 people in all have been tasked to monitor the execution of the package.

To expedite the process, more than 1.5 million recipients have also been called on phone.

The prime minister confirmed once more that the relief effort covers all of Pakistan, including without prejudice Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Shehbaz commended technological companies, Nadra, and the State Bank of Pakistan for maintaining a safe and effective digital wallet system for fund distribution. He advised that other government social projects also benefit from similar approach.

Moreover, he advised banks and telecom firms to improve their public awareness campaigns on the initiative and turn in a thorough report on their activities.

Senior government officials including Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Economic Affairs Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and IT Minister Shaza Fatima attended the conference along with officials from Nadra, PTA, and private sector partners engaged in the programme.
