PESHAWAR – Authorities in Peshawar have enforced a 30-day ban on the use of drones and quadcopters, citing heightened security concerns. The ban, issued by the deputy commissioner under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, aims to prevent incidents that could spark fear or disrupt public order.
The prohibition, according to the officials, is intended to protect vital infrastructure, prevent unauthorized surveillance, and limit the possibility of misuse, such as the delivery of hazardous materials from the air. According to Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code, those who violate the law will be subject to legal action.
