Pak Elektron Limited (PEL), a leading Pakistani home appliances manufacturer, has announced plans to expand its export operations significantly, aiming to achieve $100 million in exports by the end of 2026. This strategic move follows the company’s recent entry into the United States market, where it has begun exporting distribution transformers.
The company’s initial consignment to the U.S. was dispatched on March 13, marking a pivotal step in PEL’s international expansion strategy. Nadeem Asghar, PEL’s General Manager of Finance, highlighted that approximately 90% of their exports are now directed to the U.S., with plans to increase export revenues to $50 million by December 2025 and reach the $100 million target by the end of 2026.
Prior to entering the U.S. market, PEL’s exports, totaling $3 million, were primarily distributed to the United Kingdom, Jordan, and various African nations. The company’s recent partnership with Maddox Industrial Transformer LLC, a U.S.-based supplier of power transformers, has been instrumental in facilitating this expansion.
In addition to its U.S. endeavors, PEL has entered into a strategic alliance with Electrolux AB, a Swedish multinational renowned for brands such as Electrolux, AEG, and Frigidaire. This collaboration is expected to further bolster PEL’s growth and presence in international markets.
Looking ahead, PEL plans to extend its reach to other regions, including Saudi Arabia, as part of its comprehensive strategy to diversify and expand its global footprint.
