A significant cyber offensive launched by Pakistan has reportedly targeted key Indian digital infrastructures. According to security officials, the operation penetrated the official platform of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as a number of other significant websites.
The attack disrupted various systems, wiping data from organizations such as the Crime Research Investigation Agency, Bharat Earth Movers Limited, and the All India Naval Technical Supervisory Staff Association. Furthermore, sensitive data from government institutions like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the Border Security Force, and the Unique Identification Authority of India may have been accessed during the breach.
More than 2,500 surveillance cameras across India were hacked, halting real-time monitoring and hindering security operations. Additionally, attacks on Maharashtra’s power infrastructure paralyzed electricity distribution, erasing commercial and domestic meter records and causing widespread outages.
According to security insiders, this cyber operation represents a strategic move, aiming to weaken India’s technological and military capabilities.
