In celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, Pakistan Railways has announced a 20% fare reduction for all mail, express, intercity, and passenger trains across all classes. This discount is valid exclusively on the first three days of Eid, from March 31 to April 2, 2025, and applies to current bookings managed by Pakistan Railways.
Eid Al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is a significant festival for Muslims worldwide. In Pakistan, the government has declared a three-day public holiday during this period. Traditionally, hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis travel to their hometowns to celebrate with family and friends, utilizing various modes of transportation, including airplanes, trains, and buses.
To accommodate the increased travel demand during Eid, Pakistan Railways often operates special trains. However, it’s important to note that the 20% fare concession is not applicable to these special trains and cannot be combined with other discounts. This initiative aims to make travel more affordable and encourage the use of train services during the festive season.
