On February 26, 2025, Pakistan and Japan convened the fourth round of counterterrorism consultations in Tokyo, focusing on emerging technological solutions and capacity-building initiatives.
The Pakistani delegation, led by Additional Secretary Nabeel Munir, and the Japanese team, headed by Ambassador Hiroyuki Minami, discussed evolving terrorist threats at both national and regional levels. They reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and explored avenues for increased bilateral cooperation.
The dialogue also highlighted Japan’s role as a significant development partner to Pakistan, providing substantial loans, grants, and technical assistance to support infrastructure and social projects.
