Nust, NUTECH, and Comsats to establish campuses in Karachi

In a significant move to enhance higher education accessibility, three prominent Islamabad-based institutions—the National University of Sciences and Technology (Nust), the National University of Technology (NUTECH), and Comsats University—are set to establish campuses in Karachi. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of expanding quality education, deemed essential for the country’s economic growth.

Comsats University plans to launch a temporary campus on Hub Road, with a comprehensive Rs4.6 billion PC-1 proposal submitted for the development of a dedicated campus. Currently, Comsats operates its main campus in Islamabad and six other campuses across Pakistan, including locations in Wah, Abbottabad, Attock, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Vehari. The establishment of a Karachi campus is widely regarded as a positive development.

While the Ministry of Education has approved the establishment of Nust and NUTECH campuses in Karachi, specific details regarding their development have yet to be disclosed.

This expansion is expected to provide Karachi’s students with increased access to quality higher education, fostering regional development and contributing to the nation’s progress.
