On March 8, 2025, coinciding with International Women’s Day, thirteen women-led startups celebrated their graduation from Mobilink Microfinance Bank’s Women Inspirational Network (WIN) Incubator Program in Islamabad. This initiative aims to empower female entrepreneurs by providing essential skills, financial literacy, and tools to scale their businesses.
At the ceremony, Ecobricks was honored with the “Best Startup Award,” receiving a prize of Rs1 million ($3,573). Additionally, Recycle Bin and EcoGrow each secured Rs500,000 ($1,786) as winners of the Innovation Challenge. These awards not only recognize innovative ideas but also offer crucial financial support to foster business growth.
The event was graced by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Amna Baloch, who lauded the program’s success and the inspiring journeys of its participants. She emphasized that such stories instill hope and motivate others to take charge of their lives. Mobilink Bank also announced the launch of the program’s second cohort, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing a thriving ecosystem for women-led businesses.
