Mir Sarfraz Bugti launches pink scooty scheme in Balochistan

The Pink Scooty and Electric Bikes Scheme was launched by Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, with the aim of enhancing the mobility of female students and workers throughout the province. This effort seeks to offer subsidised scooters to increase the accessibility and convenience of transportation, expanding upon the successful Pink Bus program.

College, high school, and university students, as well as working women, would all gain from the program because it provides them with cheap transportation options. In an effort to promote equality, we will be providing electric bikes to male students and pink scooters for female students. The proposals to form a special committee headed by the Secretary of Finance are part of the government’s effort to guarantee transparency. For the purpose of allocating automobiles, this committee will establish qualifying requirements.

The State Bank of Pakistan is also helping to make the initiative accessible to the public via a bank funding mechanism. More individuals will be able to rely on contemporary, environmentally conscious modes of transportation because of this.

Timed to coincide with International Women’s Day, the launch is a representation of the government’s commitment to empowering women and promoting their independence. This program is a step towards gender equality and self-sufficiency in Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti said, highlighting his goal of providing more possibilities for young people and women.
