The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has introduced several initiatives aimed at enhancing technical education and skill development among the province’s youth. A notable endeavor is the “1st Chief Minister Skills Development Programme,” which aims to train 4,000 young individuals annually across 35 Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) institutes in various cities. This program focuses on providing advanced IT courses aligned with international standards to equip students with skills relevant to the evolving job market.
In addition, the Middle Tech Programme has been launched to establish ten technical middle schools within Punjab. This initiative seeks to integrate technology into the education system, offering students hands-on training essential for excelling in technical fields and adapting to rapidly changing job environments.
To streamline the registration process for technical and vocational training centers, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the launch of an online portal. This platform, set to be operational from March 1, aims to facilitate the swift and efficient registration of these institutions, thereby enhancing accessibility for prospective students.
These initiatives underscore the Chief Minister’s commitment to empowering Punjab’s youth by providing them with quality technical education and skills training, thereby preparing them for future employment opportunities.
